Aging & Disability Resource Center
CICOA's Aging & Disability Resource Center is a one-stop resource center for information on programs and services for older adults and people with disabilities in Central Indiana. With access to a comprehensive network of resources, the professionals in the Aging & Disability Resource Center can connect callers to CICOA services or to other community resources.
Our friendly staff provides counseling to help you assess existing or anticipated long-term care needs. Based on those needs, we then provide comprehensive information on the full range of available public and private programs, options, service providers, and resources within the community. The ADRC also serves as the single point of entry for persons seeking assistance through public programs such as CHOICE and Medical Model Waivers.
Options Counselors
CICOA’s Certified Options Counselors collect information about individuals’ abilities to care for themselves to determine eligibility for services, identify the appropriate public or private funding source, and outline service options.
SHIP Counselors
The ADRC also offers State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) counseling. This program specifically addresses questions about Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medicare Managed Care Plans, Medicaid, long-term financing options and prescription coverage.
